Chris Miller

Chris Miller was born in Hilo, Hawaii in 1977. He received his BFA from The Pennsylvania State University and his MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He currently manages the 3D Foundation program and teaches ceramics at the California State University, Long Beach. Miller is also a member of the artist-run gallery, Monte Vista Projects.

Forever Forgetting is an arrangement of hand-made sculptures on deteriorating plaster sheets. Born from both restrained technique and intuitive gesture, these unstable objects create an environment caught between forming and un-forming. Overall, this work functions as an open system, allowing exploration of both the self and the world through material and process.
